Application

  • Wall and ceiling linings, acoustic panels especially for schools, hospitals, commercial and public buildings, partition screens and display panels.

  • Ideal in the most critical applications such as entrance areas and exit corridors especially those used for emergency exits in case of fire.

Colour & Grain

Firesafe Decorply™ Plywood is a natural product there will be colour and grain variations (i.e. no two trees are the same). Colour & Grain variations are more evident in larger orders, even when the plywood is sourced from the same batch colour tones can vary. This is unfortunately unavoidable and is part of the beauty of choosing a plywood.

Grading

  • Permitted imperfections. 

  • These shall include the following:

  • Filled holes. Not exceeding 6mm wide & 30 mm in length, not more than 8 per sheet.

  • Knots (sound intergrown) Not exceeding 12mm measured across the grain and not more than 6 per sheet.

  • Bark Pockets. Not excceding 18mm across to 30mm in length and not moe than 6 per sheet. 

  • Rough Grain. Slight roughness associated with local imperfections. No limited.

  • Filled splits Individually not exceeding 3 mm wide & 300mm in length, not more than two per face.

  • Edge voids. Knot holes arising from the use of D grade veneer.

  • X/Bands & Centre Gaps. Max 10mm wide. 

  • Short Narrow Back. Max 5mm x half panel length one layer only. 

  • Short Narrow Core. Max 5mm x half panel length one layer only.
